Students’ Council is the apex student body at Fr. Conceicao Rodrigues College Of Engineering. The primary duty of the council comprises of standing strong as a bridge of formal communication between the students, faculties and the administration. While it seeks to address any queries and resolve issues that the students or admin may face, the Council also relentlessly strives towards the enrichment of the campus experience by hosting various flagship fests like the Cultural Fest – Euphoria, the Technical Fest – Crescendo, the Sports Fest – Athlead and the National Level debate competition – CRMD. Our hearts all beat for a single purpose which is,“To serve and protect the honour and integrity of the council, always.
The Conceicao Rodrigues Memorial Debate, a national level competition is a prestigious annual event hosted by the Students’ Council that attracts talented debaters from across the country. Every year, 32 teams from institutions all over India compete in a challenging and intellectually stimulating environment.
Recognized as one of the few Oxford-style debate competitions in India, CRMD encourages structured argumentation, critical thinking, and respectful discourse. With an overwhelming response from participants and the valuable presence of distinguished judges, we proudly celebrated the successful completion of the 27th edition of CRMD this year.
Our college celebrates sports through two major sporting events. Athlead, the annual intra-college sports festival, sees students from different classes compete passionately to claim victory and lift the Boys’ and Girls’ Sports Trophies.
Taking the excitement further, Athlos is our inter-college sports festival that attracts teams from across Mumbai. Participants compete in popular games such as cricket, football, table tennis, carrom, and chess, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm, teamwork, and competitive spirit.
Crescendo is the much-awaited flagship technical festival of CRCE, celebrating innovation, creativity, and engineering brilliance. Every year, students eagerly participate in a wide range of competitions organized by various technical councils.
A major attraction is the inter-collegiate Robosumo competition, where student-built robots battle fiercely in the arena, testing strength, strategy, and design. Alongside this thrilling event, Crescendo also features competitions such as Hackathon, Elexathon, and Mechathon, making it a grand celebration of technology and innovation.
Euphoria is the most awaited cultural festival of Fr. Conceicao Rodrigues College of Engineering, marking a vibrant celebration of talent and creativity as the academic year comes to a close.
